Jorge D. Camba
Associate Professor , Purdue University
Jorge D. Camba is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Before joining Purdue, he was a faculty member in the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University and most recently at the University of Houston, TX. He holds degrees in Computer Science (BS, MS), Technology (MS) and Systems and Engineering Management (PhD). Dr. Camba is the author of four other books, including an innovative introduction to engineering graphics using augmented reality technology, and more than 60 peer-reviewed publications. His research focuses on parametric model complexity and optimization, design reusability, knowledge management, and the Model-Based Enterprise.
David Ewing Jr.
Technical Account Manager, Aras
David L Ewing Jr. is an industry veteran in Digital Transformation. He is currently a Technical Account Manager primarily focused on the Aerospace and Defense segment at Aras Corporation. David received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 1998 and his Master of Business Administration from The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He is a certified Configuration Management Professional (CM2-P), Project Management Professional (PMP) and certified in Six Sigma DMAIC and DFSS disciplines. Mr. Ewing is focused on helping firms deliver products and services effectively with PLM. His background includes developing and marketing PLM software as well as implementing and customizing PLM in industry. He has over 15 years of experience implementing PLM in the industrial and aerospace industries. Prior to joining Aras, David held PLM roles at Cummins, B/E Aerospace, and General Electric.
Travis J. Fuerst
Assistant Professor of Practice, Purdue University
Travis J. Fuerst is an Assistant Professor of Practice with the Department of Computer Graphics Technology in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, Purdue University, West Lafayette campus. He received his BS in Computer Graphics Technology in 2000, and his MS in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in 2002 from Purdue University. In 2013 he earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Before returning to Purdue in 2017, Professor Fuerst spent over 12 years working for The Boeing Company as an Engineering Workplace Coach, IT Project Manager, and Continuous Improvement Leader. He started his career as an Applications Engineer for ENOVIA Corp. Additionally he served 21 years in the U.S. Army Reserves as both an NCO and Officer retiring in 2017 as a Major from the U.S. Transportation Command.
Amy B Mueller
Assistant Professor of Practice, Purdue University
Amy B Mueller is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, Purdue University, West Lafayette campus. She received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and her MBA in Information Systems from the University of Toledo. Before joining the faculty in 2012, Ms. Mueller spent over 30 years in industry and her career parallels the progression of CAD/CAM to PDM to PLM. She has held industry positions with Owens-Illinois, PTC, Cummins, Faurecia and Toyota Industrial Equipment as well as a VAR and a consulting firm. Professor Mueller is a CM2 Certified Professional and instructor. She is a member of ASEE, ASME, ACM and SWE.
